CommentLuv added to blog. Leave a comment and help us both benefit.
Hey all,
CommentLuv and KeywordLuv have been implemented on the site. There may be some folks out there who don’t know what these plugins do.
Basically it allows you to build backlinks for your blog with other blogs that have the plugin installed. It removes the nofollow attribute and adds dofollow to allow those leaving comments a backlink from your blog to theirs.
It’s a great tool that helps you network with your peers and gain popularity at the same time. Best of all it helps users viewing your site as well.
Think of it like this:
You scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours.
Everyone benefits and it’s easy to weed out the spammers too.
Here are a couple of sites to help you out if you are new, like me to this plugin.
A great post called KeywordLuv: How Using It Benefits Us All” discusses the benefits of using KeywordLuv and CommentLuv on your blog.
CommentLuv This site is a network revolving around the plugin with news, updates and listings for other sites that use the plugin.
What’s really cool is you can register for free. Once you have a login you can access a WordPress admin interface to manage your account. Add your blog and bio information. You also have the ability to add affiliate links too.
Andy Bailey, the creator of the plugin recently announced that major updates are coming to further help the CommentLuv community even more.
Please do us both a favor, leave a comment and let us both reep the benefits.
Cheers and Happy St. Patrick Day

hey chris, it’s cool that you’ve put commentluv on here – i’m considering adding it to one of my blogs. have you noticed any decrease in comment spam since installing it?
admin

@matt, I’ve seen an increase in both real comments and spam so I guess you take the good with the bad. I do use Askimet so it catches most of the junk. Check out the comment luv site. Andy is about to release version 2.9 that should have a lot of cool new features.

I think more people should use the keywordluv plugin, it certainly makes a difference from not having it as people tend not to contribute as much as when you do have it. It’s really useful to get backlinks to web pages and increase traffic and the bloggers get their comments they need! Thanks

Hey Chris
Either you must be one hack of a brave character or you really do just want to share the LUV. Nowadays everybody’s ever so fearfully hiding behind that “nofollow” it’s such a pity I tell you. No one can be genuinely caring anymore it’s all suspicion and mistrust but its not entirely without cause I suppose.
Anyway thanks a lot for remaining human, you rock!!!

@Razor I’m with Andy (the CL creator) that the internet needs to get back to being a friendly place for everyone. If we all place nice, we all benefit. On a side note there are some really cool plugins to curb spam and reduce the fear of using dofollow. Let me know if this interests you and I’ll dig through my folders and write a post about them.

@admin please do so I don’t suppose i’ll be the only one who will stand to benefit. Every blog owner needs to know about this stuff. BTW I just read a post on another site the other day where someone commented that it’s rather funny how you expect people to spam keywordluv & commentluv enabled sites yet on the contrary they post meaningful comments.

KeyLuv is fantastic for generating more contribution from a static community. Despite the hoopla of “linkjuice” I think it’s the growing trend of engaging with users that used to drift through site after site. We’re finally acknowledging the users existence with something like this.
Whatever it means to people, it’s at least disseminating information that we’d normally never find.

Hey Chris,
It’s awesome that you have keywordluv and commentluv on here. I think the thing I like best about them is they take the guess work out of how to properly post on someone’s blog. I know some blog owners get upset when you use your keywords as your name. With these plugins, you don’t have to worry about it.
As for the spammers, if they only realized that if they quit spamming, the internet would be overflowing with do-follow blogs.
One last thing. That’s some really nice guitar work, especially Big Sombrero in the sky. Is that you or your cousin?

@Fred +1 on the spammers and dofollow links. For every good person on the web there are 10 people filled with bad intentions. Hoping the new Google Panda algorithm is a push in the right direction to address this nonsense.
Hey thanks for the feedback on the song. Actually that is all me (EZ Drummer for the drums) playing guitar, keys and bass except the outro solo is a friend of mine (SAN) in Holland. I wrote it for my pop and a friend who passed away.

@Alice This is the best plugin I’ve come across for getting your blog noticed. I’m very skeptical about any so-called quick results type deals you see all the time on the web. But I noticed alot of positive feedback and spoke with Andy a few times to see if he was the real deal or not.
After that I decided to try it and within 2 weeks my traffic increased 300% and still growing each and every day. (Even with my broken design. haha). I came away impressed. So impressed, I bought the Premium version.
I’m not one to sell or push anything to anyone, not how I work, but this plugin will give you results.
Check out the CL image on the sidebar and try it out. I guarantee you will be happy.

You know finding dofollow blogs is nearly impossible now due to excess spammers. We’ve nothing to do but place a comment on a nofollow blog, But the interesting thing I found on a research that Nofollow backlink from a authority page helps to increase SERP. Isn’t it a good news for bloggers?

What a brilliant post. You should do a series!
I did a sort of blogging for dummies over on one of the craft forums and I thought it was too simple for them, but the amount of emails I got asking questions just like what you addressed was unbelievable. As young people today we have grown up with computers, but it’s easy to forget that even people just a few years older have not! Really good post!

Everything published was actually very logical. However, what about this? suppose you composed a catchier title? I mean, I don’t want to tell you how to run your blog, but suppose you added a headline that makes people desire more? I mean CommentLuv and KeywordLuv enabled blog. Post a comment | AtSea Design: web design, internet marketing and customer relationship management tidbits is kinda boring. You ought to look at Yahoo’s home page and note how they write article titles to grab viewers to click. You might try adding a video or a picture or two to grab readers excited about everything’ve written. In my opinion, it would make your blog a little livelier.
